Book of the Week

The Haiku Foundation features my collection of Haiku and Tanka, GOD TOO AWAITS LIGHT, on its site https://thehaikufoundation.org/book-of-the-week-god-too-awaits-light-a-collection-of-haiku-and-tanka-by-ram-krishna-singh/

An excerpt from Ram’s Poet Profile in the Haiku Registry – “I have been teaching English language skills to students of earth and mineral sciences and practicing poetry for more than 35 years. I have published 42 books, including 17 poetry collections. My poems have been widely translated, and I have a reasonable internet presence.”

I don’t know how
the bones grow in the womb
still in darkness
the heartbeats pronounce
the balance of nature

so inciting
the hell of cyber world
they forget to pray
and multiply their pain
corroding consciousness

vultures waiting for
the remains of sacrifice
on the temple tree

her name
written on the sand
a wave breaks

You can read the entire book in the THF Digital Library and please share your favorite poem from the book with us.
